Information
Technology (IT) audits are conducted in accordance with generally-accepted IS
audit standards and guidelines to ensure that the University's information technology
and business systems are adequately controlled, monitored, and assessed. Standards
for information technology auditing are prescribed by the Information Systems
Audit and Control Association (IASCA). ISACA publishes good practices in the
areas of Governance, Control and Audit for Information and related Technology.
These practices are outlined in Control Objectives for Information Technology

Applicable
polices and practices for IT Audit may include: Acceptable
Use Policy, IT Security Policy, and Software Licensing.
