One
of the most far-reaching current efforts on campus
is the ERP, or Enterprise Resource Planning, project.
This project involves a multi-year effort to address
devolution from the State of Florida. The transition
involves, among other things, moving away from legacy
systems like FLAIR.
PeopleSoft
Enterprise Applications Suite is to be implemented
across a range of university processes and activities,
starting with financial and payroll systems.
OACR
will have a critical role as the new systems and
processes “go live.” Section 1011.4105,
Florida Statutes, requires that university inspectors
general certify transition plans and assess key controls
for implemented systems and business processes (Attachment
III). To that end, the majority of our audit resources
will be committed to this endeavor during the next
two years.
This office remains closely involved as the timeline unfolds - through the
on-going participation of the Chief Audit Executive and other office staff
in various transition advisory and IT committees.
The focus for the next two years will be the university's transition to an
enterprise resource planning system and the establishment of locally controlled
funds, accounts and transactions.
As
of February 26, a new name has been approved for
the ERP project– UF Bridges. For more information,
including status reports and critical dates, please
